A. 1.3 Consolidating and finalizing the national strategies for the gender integrative approach of  the focus countries.

Activities

  1. Continued engagement with the national consultant (Common Room and other stakeholders) in finalizing the action plan for Indonesia especially on the gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) component (A.1.3)  (Q1)

Outputs

  1. GESI component of the Indonesia Action Plan is finalized with clear commitment from the Indonesia stakeholders leading the process/action plan

Outcomes

  1. Clear commitment of Indonesia stakeholders on the Indonesia Action Plan for Gender Integration.

 

A 1.7 Provide gender-specific capacity building, sensitisation and mentoring for support organisations and their communities within focus countries.

Indonesia

Activities

  1. Provide accompaniment of Common Room on the development of a framework on module development on gender;
  2. Situational Needs Analysis (SNA) or Training Needs Analysis (TNA) tool development and generation of report on technical and other skills needs of women among participants of the SCN in Indonesia and support groups; (Q1 and Q2);
  3. Co-create and launch a digital access capacity building program (modules) for women and vulnerable groups focusing on developing their technical skills, leadership/ advocacy and leveraging skills;
  4. Online and face to face discussion on concepts of gender, social inclusion, safe space and feminist principles of community networks among Indonesia stakeholders  (Q1-Q3)
  5. Co-develop a gender session during the National Exhibition in CCCIs and Rural ICT camp with Common Room and other stakeholders in Indonesia;  (Q3)

Outcomes

  1. Levelled of understanding and enhanced capacities of Indonesian support groups and SCN on GESI, safe space and feminist principles on CN;
  2. Framework for module development on gender developed with Common Room.
  3. In-depth understanding of technical and other skills needs of women in SCN and support groups in Indonesia developed as input to developing a comprehensive digital access program;
  4. Launch of a digital access program for women in ICT in Indonesia;

Outputs

  1. A document that reflects the framework for a module development on gender integration in Indonesia;
  2. A SNA tool and report finalized on technical training and other skills needs of women in SCN and support groups in Indonesia;
  3. A concept note and modules developed (at least 2) on digital access capacity building program for women and vulnerable groups;
  4. At least 60 Indonesian stakeholders with levelled off understanding on concepts/practices on gender, social inclusion, safe space and feminist principles on CN; and,
  5. Guidance notes developed towards ensuring gender, social inclusion and safe space are taken into consideration in all engagement in Indonesia in Q2;


A 1.9 Promote the development of Communities of Practice in two ways: local exchanges within focus countries based on sector/themes and mutual exchange across focus countries

Indonesia 
CoPs on technologies for the preservation of the environment and the earth.
CoPs on women’s economic empowerment through ICT (Philippines, Indonesia)

Activity

  • Exploration with the Indonesian stakeholders (support group and SCN) of potential interest and viability of developing a COP on the preservation of the environment and the earth (Common Room as lead) and/or COP on WEE and ICT (ICT Watch, Bina Swadaya and Dompet Dhuafa in Indonesia and PRRM, PCAi for Philippines);

Outputs

Concept note with define core group of women from the NSCN and Indonesia stakeholders and organized into a COP  (Common Room, ICT Watch/Bina Swadaya/Dompet Dhuafa)

Outcomes
Early development of Community of Practice in Indonesia and the Philippines related to gender and the environment and earth and WEE and ICT as mechanisms for learning, mutual exchange and potentially projection of impacts on these thematic areas.

 

A 3.5 Document and make visible the activities on gender

Activities

  1. Developing stories of women from the National School of Community Network in Indonesia.

Outputs

  1. At least 3 stories of women from NSCN in Indonesia;

A 4.3 Engage in gender sensitisation within the LocNet team 

  1. Conduct a gender sensitization session for the LocNet team about gender in Indonesia.
