 Gender Engagement Activities in Focus Countries

 A 1.3 Consolidating and finalizing the national strategies for the gender integrative approach in the focus countries.

Activities

  1. Develop a concise position of gender engagement in CCCIs in Brazil.
  2. Develop a strategy for the representation of women in CCCI events in Brazil.

Outcomes

  1. Increased awareness of gender inclusion in CCCIs in Brazil, leading to the incorporation of gender-responsive policies and initiatives.
  2. Enhanced representation and participation of women in key roles in CCCI events and leadership opportunities.

Outputs

  1. Comprehensive mapping report on women’s engagement in CCCIs across Brazil
  2. A strategic plan for women's representation in CCCI events

A 1.7 Provide gender-specific capacity building, sensitisation and mentoring for support organisations and their communities within focus countries. This includes various strategies for community engagement, movement building and knowledge and learning integrative approaches such as: solidarity circles, training of trainers, referral systems and in person exchanges.

Activities

  1. Mapping of women, people of diverse sexualities and genders working in the technical area of CCCIs.
  2. Hold circles ahead of the transfeminist camp for women in CCCIs.
  3. Support the organization of a national meeting between stakeholders of the transfeminist CCC community focused on knowledge sharing, gender sensitive digital care and technical training for CCCIs in the Brazilian context.

Outcomes

  1. Increased visibility and recognition of women and trans people in technical roles within CCCIs.
  2. Stronger solidarity and collaboration among women and trans people in the CCCI environment.
  3. Advancement in knowledge sharing, gender sensitive digital care and technical training for CN women leaders and strengthening of connections within the feminist CCC environment.

Outputs

  1. Input of quantitative and qualitative information on women and trans people working in technical areas of CCC into LocNet Feminist CCC referral platform.
  2. One circle held between participants of the transfeminist CCC Camp prior to the encounter
  3. A five-day immersive tech camp for learning exchange and capacity building between 30 CN women leaders and feminist technical specialists.

A 2.8 Support the visibility and engagement of women in CCCs by securing the necessary resources for women to advance their engagement in CCCIs and other relevant ICT spaces for the advancement of gender responsive strategies.

Activities

  1. Prioritize the inclusion of women in training and relevant events, encouraging them to play a leading role in network maintenance and operation activities.

 Outcomes

  1. Increased female participation in technical and leadership roles within community networks, development of a more resilient and sustainable CCC ecosystem with enhanced technical and leadership capacity for women in digital spaces.

 Outputs

  1. Report on women’s participation in technical training and operational activities.

A 3.5 Highlight the work of women in CCCIs in the focus countries as well as the work of the gender coordinators.

  1. Produce one documentary on the stories of women in CCCIs guided by the two questions: how are women shaping CCCIs in their communities and how do CCCIs influence the lives of women.
  2. Document in a photo or video the CCC Camp in Brazil.
